- As a writer, I am simultaneously blessed and cursed with a never ending source of "ma-ter-ial" *winking. A California girl born and raised, recently and finally returned to San Francisco, I continue to write both fiction and poetry while teaching Composition and Creative Writing at California Community Colleges in the Bay Area. I am also a co-founder of Quiet Lightning, a submission-based reading series in San Francisco and former co-publisher of sParkle & bLink, QL's zine. I am also a founder of Matrices Press which promotes "integrated" diversity www.matricespress.net. Two parts of my yet to be named novella, "The Monsoon" and "The Steamer," can be found in Red Wheelbarrow. Other more recent poetry can be found here and at my Facebook site since, despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to find a web designer to help me with my own creative page, so if you know of anyone, I’d appreciate the referral.
